We are present at Vinitaly USA, the important event taking place in Chicago on October 20th and 21st, which serves as one of the leading international showcases for Italian wine in the United States. The participation of numerous Sardinian wineries highlights the determination of the island’s producers to showcase the quality of their wines, a heritage that is gaining increasing recognition abroad. According to Coldiretti, over the past twenty years, Italian wine exports to the USA have grown by 148%, doubling in value. This figure underscores the success of the national wine industry, and Sardinia is ready to play its part.
“Our wines must be appreciated abroad,” says Ferruccio Deiana, proud of the efforts made by Sardinian wineries to promote their enological traditions.
With indigenous grape varieties like Cannonau, Vermentino, and Monica, Sardinia stands out as a unique and strongly territorial wine region. “Our region is gaining more and more visibility on the world stage, alongside established areas like Tuscany, Piedmont, and Veneto,” says Dario Deiana. “We Sardinian producers continue to invest in the quality and authenticity of our wines, and events like Vinitaly are the perfect occasion to bring our excellence into the spotlight.”
Ferruccio Deiana concludes by emphasizing the importance of teamwork and the passion that drives Sardinian producers: “Our commitment is constant, and Sardinia is working hard to promote its enological heritage to the world.”
The hope is that, through events of this caliber, the global spotlight will continue to shine on Sardinia's exceptional wines, which are increasingly appreciated for their quality and uniqueness.
